What We Do |
The Alliance for Youth Achievement (AYA) is a US 501c3 nonprofit organization that was was founded in 2000 to provide partnership, financial support and advocacy for small, grassroots organizations assisting AIDS orphans and street children in Africa and Asia. We believe, and research has supported, that smaller organization are typically more efficient in utilizing funding, and a small amount of money can make a big difference in the lives of the children they are helping. AYA works in 7 countries including, Cambodia, India, Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda, and Vietnam. We help our partners in a variety of settings, including schools, orphanages and foster homes, medical projects, and micro-credit. AYA strongly believes in promoting solutions that offer improved self-sufficiency through education and income-generating activities. Through the compassion and commitment of people throughout the world working together, we truly believe we can impact the lives of the millions of children affected by AIDS and living in extreme poverty. |
